CARDIOVASCULAR COURSES

Basic Echocardiography - A three-day course provides physicians and sonographers with a basic understanding of adult echocardiography. Course focuses on proper scanning protocols and techniques of 2D, M-mode, Doppler and CFM examination. Hands-on scanning sessions provide practice in a simulated clinical setting.

Advanced Echocardiography - Introduction to Common Pathologies - A two-day course provides physicians and advanced sonographers with an introduction to common cardiac pathologies focusing on M-mode, two dimensional and cardiac Doppler findings. Course also includes hemodynamic calculation and measurement analysis and reporting.

Stress Echocardiography - A one-day basic course offers an opportunity to examine stress echocardiography and contrast imaging for sonographers and physicians. Course combines in-depth instruction and case review sessions with hands-on image acquisition.

VASCULAR COURSES

Introduction to Carotid and Venous - A four-day course introduces sonographers to the theory and techniques of vascular ultrasound. The course focuses on cerebrovascular and venous duplex imaging, emphasizing proper system operation and diagnostic interpretive criteria. Extensive hands-on scanning sessions provide practical clinical experience, with the option of concentration on carotid or venous imaging.

Peripheral Arterial - A one-day course for physicians and advanced sonographers that focuses on proper technique and diagnostic criteria. Emphasis is on peripheral arterial duplex imaging, arterial bypass graft and stent post-operative evaluation. Normal images and diagnostic criteria for interpretive consideration also covered.

Venous Interpretation - A one-day course is designed for physicians who have recently entered the field of diagnostic vascular ultrasound. Course focuses on venous lectures and case study review.

Carotid Interpretation - A one-day course designed for physicians who have recently entered the field of diagnostic vascular ultrasound. Course focuses on carotid lectures and case study review.

SPECIALITY COURSES

Podiatry - A one-day course where participants will examine tendons, ligaments, muscles, nerves, joints, the cortical surface of most bones and the pathology associated with these structures.

Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging (RUSI) - A two-day course focuses on an introduction to the principles underlying the generation, recognition and interpretation of USI images of the abdominal wall, lumbar paravertebral, and pelvic floor musculature. It also will include a discussion of the literature surrounding the topic of motor control as it relates to continence, respiration and postural control of the lumbopelvic region.

MSK - A two-day structured hands-on workshop for shoulder, wrist, knee, ankle and basic needle guidance techniques.
